Top 5 things to do with your pokemon mad kid(s) Happy Sunday my lovelies, it has been a while. The sun is shining, I have had several coffees and completed the housework BEFORE lunchtime YAY! My last few posts were not exactly rainbows and unicorn farts but I am getting there. So today I decided to do my 1st ever top 5. To be completely honest I WAS going to do a kind of No Man's Sky review thing but it would have been a little bit more moaning from me and i'm guessing you are probably sick of me moaning. So I asked myself WHAT could I do instead? Well this, of course.  So whether you are a poke-parent, or a newbie trainer with no clue about the wonderful world of pocket monsters; here is MY top 5 things to do with your poke-mad kids! Grab your pokeballs, several potions and take heed from Professor Stress. But firstly Are you a boy or a girl? 5. Watch it!   I personally grew up with Pokemon and I love the nostalgia of re watching the original...

Universal Credit, what the heck do they think they are doing?

Image
Universal Credit Those 2 words spread fear, hatred, disdain, anguish and disgust to thousands of people who hear or read them. Many of you reading this (especially in the UK) would have heard about this absolute farce that has taken over the many welfare benefits in most of the UK. Think about what you have heard/read about it, I bet you have not heard a SINGLE positive thing about it have you? You know why? It is because it is so broken not even Einstein could figure it out let alone fix it. Now I know there are going to be some of you who think. "So what if those people wanted money they should go and get a job!" Well naysayers here's the truth around 360 THOUSAND people claiming Universal credits are in employment, and i'm one of them. DON'T even think about saying "get a better job then!" Finding a job is hard enough let alone a "better job" How about YOU change your attitude, it's probably people like you who voted for the Tori...

New beginnings, apologies for not being around

Hello my sweeties. I know it has been a while, as always it has been a bit hectic in this mad house of late. I happen to have a impromptu day off due to DD being ill bless her. So whilst she is snuggled up in mummy's bed with Pikachu I thought I would check in with you all. So sit back relax with your coffee... coffee damn I knew I forgot something! So everything is starting to settle now after the break up. Iv'e adjusted well to being "alone" again. I am no longer working the evening job which is great for my self being but not so great for my bank. I'm having to wait on the dreaded UC which should be done by next week (5 weeks man that's a long time!) It was payday from work yesterday and Mr taxman decided to tax me too much again! Its just the usual stresses, every time I think I have everything sorted and exactly where I want it to be something else comes out of the woodwork. Its getting to my anxiety and i'm finding it difficult to relax. I k...

Stressing the stresshead

Image
Hello lovelies,  You know when you just have one of THOSE days? yup that's me! Trying my best not to pull my hair out right now! Things always have to happen all at once. Why things? Why? Why do you do this things? Stop it! So parents evening, the short and long of it is this. DD's teacher doesn't seem to believe dyspraxia is a real thing. She didn't say as much but her tone said it all. Apparently DD is going to fail her SAT's due to her handwriting... I would like to point out she is also left handed and for some unknown bloody reason the school make the kids write in cursive (Joined up writing not writing a load of curse words on the paper!). I for one think if a child is struggling to write they should not be encouraged to write in a style that makes their writing even more illegible, but i'm not the governing body... I don't like that teacher just saying. I still cannot get through to those lovely people at UC, I think its because before they...

Changes

Ok so Been really busy recently due to working two jobs but November is going to mark a new beginning. He's leaving. Yes I'm upset but things happen and I can't change it. However it means I will have to let go of my 2nd job and try and contact those lovely people at UC.... But then I have so much to look forward to! Halloween, bonfire night, carnival. I do love this time of year. Funds are going to get so much tighter due to the upcoming Christmas holidays but I'm not going to let it hold me back. Also it means when I leave my house after cleaning it, it will be clean when I return! Unless of course the cats resume having wild catnip filled parties whilst I'm out! Here's to change! Much loves xxxx

The new doctor

It's been a while I know. Tonight I watched the season premiere of Thirteen. I loved it. Not because it was the 1st female doctor, but because of something close to my heart. One of the characters, Ryan. We are told from the start Ryan who I am assuming is in his early 20s cannot ride a bike without stabilisers due to being dyspraxic. THANK YOU BBC for addressing this. My DD is dyspraxic, when I tell people this they automatically assume she's dyslexic or something else. She is not. Academically she is really good, although some dyspraxic children do suffer with dyslexia etc. My DD luckily does not. However she does have a habit of figgiting a lot due to it, and getting told off for such behaviour because her teacher doesn't know/ understand dyspraxica. She also sucks at sport. It's a coordination issue she can't help it. She also processes information a bit differently to others her age and can also be quite literal. However her teacher this year (final year in...
